CARHART FARMHOUSE

 
CAD were appointed to carry out the refurbishment and extension of this former farmhouse located in the Camel Valley, North Cornwall. Major structural work has opened up the previously confined spaces of the original layout and the result is a building which now feels light and spacious. The internal layout was reconfigured to make the most of the existing spaces within the farmhouse with a new entrance hall providing a sense of arrival.

Great effort was made to retain and utilise original features to keep the character of this historic building while promoting contemporary living. Exposed stonework and timber beams internally allow occupants to observe the original fabric of the building.

This project was a combined effort by CAD Architects and CAD Heritage.
