HALWYN MEADOWS, CRANTOCK
THE PROJECT
Halwyn Meadows is a new residential development of 81 houses and apartments in the desirable coastal village of Crantock near Newquay.
The development is to be delivered over 4 phases and includes affordable homes and allotments for the local community.
Our Client, Legacy Properties, wished to deliver a high-quality housing development which would respect its location. The style of architecture draws upon the Cornish vernacular, promoting materials such as slate, render and Cornish stone while introducing modern elements including zinc cladding.
The appearance of the streetscape was considered to introduce variety with a mixture of house types and materials, presenting a village feel to the development akin to the existing village.
The initial phase of the development is now complete and planning approval for the final phase has recently been attained by CAD Architects.
