This site previously contained a modest three-bedroom bungalow, similar to that immediately next door to the west. The site slope and depth of the plot from the highway presented an opportunity to increase the density and provide four apartments (utilising the sloping terrain) and a single storey dwelling at the rear. Echoing the form of the previous and adjoining dwellings, the four apartments front onto Highertown. The parking is tucked in under the building, which reduces the mass of the front elevation. The four two-bedroom apartments benefit from balconies and good views over open countryside to the south.
This imaginative approach to residential architecture has exploited the full potential of this site.
