Place House is a grand Victorian manor which had been disused and derelict for years. Architect Peter Bayly was commissioned to bring the building back into family use. This historic building had fallen into disrepair since the war, but was restored to a magnificent private house after a two year planning and construction programme. The layout of the rooms was completely re-ordered and the building fabric renovated. There were areas of complete rebuilding. Working closely with a respected local contractor ensured an efficient and successful outcome to this building conservation project.
